UK Therapy Guide

UK Therapy Guide helps people across the UK find, compare, and book licensed mental health professionals. Clients search, check availability, and pay in one flow. Therapists manage their profiles, pricing, availability, and bookings from a single dashboard.

We designed and built the platform from the ground up. Before the project there was no system in place for listings, availability, bookings, or payments.

Finding a therapist meant moving between directories with no consistent way to compare qualifications, pricing, therapy formats, or availability. Booking was manual and error-prone, therapists had no structured way to manage calendars or avoid double bookings, and users couldn't easily tell who was properly accredited.

For a service this sensitive, trust and privacy had to be built into every step.

We built a guided matching flow alongside search, with filters for issue, therapy format, price, and availability. Only therapists who pass a multi-step vetting process are listed, with their credentials shown on their profiles. Real-time availability feeds a booking engine with automated confirmations, reminders, and calendar sync, and Stripe handles session payments and bundles.

The front end is React, with Django and Python behind it. Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka handle background jobs, notifications, and booking events, and the platform is hosted on AWS. Workflows are designed for GDPR compliance, with encrypted communication.
