Overview
Project overview
FlexTools is an online toolbox that brings hundreds of everyday file and utility tools into one place. People can merge a PDF, compress an image, format JSON, or convert a bank statement without installing software.
We built the platform: the tool library, its category structure, the individual tool pages, and the shared upload and processing experience they all use.
The challenge
Business challenge
File tools are usually scattered across many single-purpose websites, each with its own layout, limits, and adverts. FlexTools set out to offer them in one consistent product.
That meant designing for a library that keeps growing. Every new tool needed to fit the same structure and interface, with its own page that people can find in search.
The solution
What we built
We built FlexTools on Next.js with a shared tool framework: one upload and drag-and-drop area, consistent options and results, and a page per tool under a clear category path such as PDF Tools or Image Tools.
Many tools run directly in the browser, so files do not need to leave the device for tasks like OCR or unlocking a PDF. Pages are locale-prefixed for multi-language support, and the site is served through Cloudflare.
